Parks & Trails New York - ptnylogoParks & Trails New York is the only organization working statewide to protect New York's parks and help communities create new parks. Founded in 1985, Parks & Trails New York has grown from a small group of park advocates to over 5000 members and supporters from every region of the state.

Their mission is to expand, protect and promote a network of parks, trails, and open spaces throughout our state for use and enjoyment by all.

Parks & Trails New York invites trails supporters to join in forming a Statewide Trails Coalition to build broad-based support that can send a powerful message to funders, legislators, and agency officials. With more than 700 groups involved in developing and maintaining trails within New York, the time has come to join forces to advocate for trails and greenways policies, programs, and funding that can benefit everyone.
